IS IT DISRESPECTFUL FOR A 14 YEAR OLD BOY TO TELL HIS GRANDAD TO SHUT UP?

lets just say his granddad was really talking a lot of dumb crap that he didn't feel like hearing and putting up with because he was already mad about a lot of things already and his grand dad caught him at the wrong time so he told him "can you please just shut up." Do you find that disrespectful under these cirstances?
