Tropical fish tank help?

ive never used any chemicals or ph buffers ever, they are not necessary just money making tools for fish stores. if you want an acidic tank for tropical fish you can just add a piece of driftwood. it will act as a buffer and constantly leech acidic properties intot eh water keeping it at perfect conditions for your fish. then you never have to use chemicals again. fish seem to do just fine in the wild without chemicals
