Is there a way to detonate Smokeless Gunpowder an electric current?

I've got a great idea for a new type of firearm that uses electricity to discharge ammunition rather than conventional striking of the physical round. I was wondering whether Smokeless Gunpowder was electrically conductive, and if so, what is the lowest voltage required? Thanks for your help!
