Will a VY/VZ commodore steering wheel bolt straight into a VL?

My VL's steering wheel is faded and falling apart so i wanna put a new one in.. but rather than getting a momo or autotechna one i was thinking about putting a VY/VZ one in it for something different.. would it go straight on tho? or would i have to modify the steering column or something?
